Blockout
The simple elegance of Rollershades is compatible with most contemporary architectural styles and white-collar work environments. Rollershades also support building-wide design unity, because you can specify the most appropriate fabric for each space.
For offices and shared areas that need maximum light control - for privacy, security or functionality - Luxaflex® Blockout Rollershades are a practical and aesthetically-pleasing choice. For hotel bedrooms, shades can be fitted with side channels to create complete darkness.
Benefits:
- Blockout fabric has a special backing that ensures light cannot travel through the Rollershade. This type of Rollershade fabric also has a thermal rating, which helps with heat control.
- For appropriate shading around the clock, windows can be fitted with dual rollers. For example: one Blockout, one Sunscreen.
- Automation can be integrated into building management systems and applied to single shades or groups of shades, with remote control or wall-switch controls.
- Specialty shapes are available to shade non-standard windows and doors.
Fabrics
Choose a Blockout fabric if you want darkness and/or privacy in an office or special purpose area, such as a media room. We offer a wide range of neutral colours and textures. Some fabrics are fire retardant.

Single roller sets
Roller sets that hold a single shade are ideal for commercial and hospitality environments that require just one form of shading - sunshade, sun filter or blockout. Sets can be specified according to the width of glass you need to cover and special requirements, such as individual control, best positions for control chains and up/down configurations for sliding doors. Operating Systems
Luxaflex® Rollershades can be manually operated with a chain drive or chainless spring motor. They can be automated using the wireless Qmotion® system or a traditional hard-wired system. Child safety devices can be fitted to manual chain-drive blinds.
