Light Filtering Roller Blinds

The simple elegance of Roller Blinds is compatible with most contemporary architectural styles and work environments. Roller Blinds also support building-wide design consistency with the ability to specify the most appropriate fabric type for each space.

For rooms and areas where sun and bright natural light have the potential to interfere with occupant comfort, Luxaflex® Sunscreen or Light Filtering Roller Blinds are a practical and aesthetically-pleasing choice.

Benefits

  • Sunscreen fabrics have an open weave that softens bright light, screens UV and minimises heat gain. Some sunscreen fabrics are see-through, so room occupants can still enjoy the view.
  • Light filtering fabrics are available in a range of opacities, colours and textures. They allow natural light to enter the room but maintain privacy.
  • For appropriate shading around the clock, windows can be fitted with dual rollers, for example, a combination of Sunscreen and Blockout.
  • Automation can be integrated into building management systems and applied to single shades or groups of shades with remote control or wall-switch controls.

Operating systems

  • Classic Chain Driven

    Easy to operate, chain drive allows you to raise and lower your blinds using a chain from either side and can be face fitted or in-reveal mounted. Chains are available in colours and metal options.

  • Somfy® Automation

    Hard-wired automation using a 240V motor integrated in the headrail. Controlled by a wall switch or remote control. The cone mechanism ensures that the blinds remain perfectly horizontal at all times while they are being raised and lowered. Can be wired into home automation systems.

    • Extraview®

      Extraview® fabric is a high-quality solar protection fabric with a 1 x 2 basketweave construction. With a 5% openness factor, this sunscreen provides a level of daytime privacy and UV control.

    • Greenview 3%

      Greenview metallised sunscreen is a 100% PET (recycled plastic bottles) woven ECO-friendly fabric, containing a minimum of 70% recycled materials. It is PVC, halogen, lead and Formaldehyde free, where the range is focused on committing to a healthier approach for the environment. One square metre of Greenview is made from four post-consumer PET bottles. Also available as non-metallised fabric.

      SilverScreen 205 metal backed screen provides excellent vision out, and dramatically reduces heat and glare at the window, independent of colour. The fabric offers an unparalleled solar reflectance of 78%. Constructed from a hard wearing PVC Coated Fibreglass, SilverScreen is inherently Flame Retardant.
